Welcome to your new obsession: KOKOIST x Nail Thoughts Tinted Base Coats. These bottles are the ultimate multitaskers — base coat, builder gel, and color all in one. The tinted base gels are a semi-hard gel formula: strong enough to add durability, but still soak-off friendly. Cure in LED/UV for 30–60 seconds. -
Why They’re Unique
This formula is the perfect middle ground — not as soft as Mega Stick Base, not as hard as Platinum Bond Duo. It delivers both flexibility and strength, while still being soak-off. Pro tip: always build a small apex with the base coats for added strength — we highly recommend doing this with the Tinted Base collection.
How It Works

Prep and add first layer!
On a cleanly prepped nail, apply a thin layer (aka a slip layer) all over the nail. Do not cure yet.

Apply Gel
While that gel is still wet, take a small blob of more base gel, apply it just below the cuticle and float the blob down the center of the nail. Wait for it to self level to your liking.

Cure
When you are satisfied with where your gel self leveled, cure (30s LED, 60s UV)! It helps to cure one nail at a time to ensure the gel doesn’t keep moving around!
