Margo’s Got Money Troubles is finally out on Apple TV, and I can finally share that I created Nicole Kidman’s nails as Lace for the series. I designed all of her nail looks to match her character throughout the show.

I’m Katie Masters, aka Nail Thoughts, the nail artist behind her looks for the show. I’ve been a nail tech for over 10 years and created my own gel line in collaboration with Kokoist USA, and a press on line which I used throughout these designs.

I have been waiting a whole year to tell everyone that I got to do Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman’s nails for the series!

And this is my very first time having MY nails and MY own gel products on a TV SHOW! Let alone having them on the TWO icons Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman?! What an insanely amazing opportunity I’m literally beyond thrilled.

So I am here to walk you through how I did Nicole Kidman’s aka Lace’s nails on Margo’s Got Money Troubles. If you are interested in seeing what I used for Michelle Pfeiffer aka Shyanne’s nails in Margo’s Got Money Troubles, tap this blog right here.

Nicole’s (Lace’s) nail looks are basically her “lawyer vibe” versus her “wrestler/lock and load” vibe. When she’s working and almost in her mediating vibe, she’s wearing a classic French tip, but when it’s time to bring out the edginess and to show the world that she means business, it’s deep burgundy red time. I used press ons for these looks as well so they could easily be taken off at the end of the day or changed depending on the scenes.

Now let's get down to business. What nail color does Lace aka Nicole Kidman have on in Margo's Got Money Troubles?

Wrestling expo nails:

For these we wanted a sparkly red to match her expo outfit. So I used Nail Thoughts in Red Velvet as a deep ruby slipper glitter to start, then added my Nail Thoughts Flash Glitter top coat for an added pop of shine! The flash glitter is a specific kind of glitter that’s shinier than regular glitter especially under certain lighting. So I knew it would be perfect for moving around under the wrestling expo lights.

Deep burgundy nails:

For these I started with the Kokoist Gelip gel extensions in oval long. Then I used my super popular (& top selling) color Nail Thoughts “Movie Night “ as the manicure color. It was such a good color for the mix of professional and edgy “lock and load” vibe that Lace gives.

Classic french nails:

To achieve Lace’s natural French tip look you can use Nail Thoughts in Honey Tea base for a nice nude background, with Nail Thoughts Fresh Sheets (a crisp white) as the French!
