How to achieve Lady Gaga’s nail look!

Hi! I’m Katie Masters, also known as @nailthoughts and I am the nail tech who is responsible for some of Lady Gaga’s nails! So I am here to show you how to achieve some of these looks with the exact products I used for nails that she loved!
For the Lady Gaga Netflix Tudum performance we wanted something with a tiny bit of length and sort of milky white neutral color. That way it could go super well with the performance and carry through to be able to go with anything else in the following week!
For the extensions, I used Kokoist Gelip extensions in Short Square, to give a nice natural nail looking length. And instead of keeping the square shape, I rounded out the corners to give a more squoval vibe which ended up adding to the natural look of the set.
Then on top I used only ONE coat of Nail Thoughts 100% Cotton which is such an adorable and classic pinky toned milky white gel color. It’s not that true milky white like Nail Thoughts Overcast is, it has a really pretty and subtle pinky tint to it.
And one coat of it gives enough opacity for full coverage while also being able to slightly see the nail underneath. It really finished off the look perfectly to pull of a gorgeous natural nail effect.

For Lady Gaga’s manicure for her performance with The Rolling Stones, we used Kokoist Gelip Extensions in Long Oval. These extensions give the perfect amount of length and shape while still remaining thin.
Then on top of those extensions, I used Nail Thoughts Boba Date which is a true solid black gel color. This is such a great black gel color because it’s super pigmented and you don’t have to worry about it getting streaky or worry about needing to do more than two coats.
I’ve even gotten away with doing just one coat of this color on my client when I was running late in the salon and she couldn’t tell a difference!
For Lady Gaga’s manicure however, we did do two coats of Nail Thoughts Boba Date to achieve the most perfect rocker girl manicure.

For Lady Gaga’s manicure for her appearance at the Grammy's Museum, we wanted to do something that felt vulnerable yet goth vibe at the same time! So we started with extending them using Kokoist Gelip Tips in Coffin Medium.
Then on top of those fresh extensions we added only one coat of Nail Thoughts in Taupe Base! Taupe Base is a base coat, builder gel, AND a color all in one. So when you need to do a manicure fast, these are the perfect products for you because you can whip up a gorgeous manicure in just one coat.
